I woke up early, listening to anticipatory rustling all around me.  Everyone excited to get moving.  Took my time putting my things together, giving the fast hikers a chance to get out ahead.  Caught up with a few at Boulder Oaks, our next water stop, 6 miles up.  There were trepidatious murmerings about continuing due to mid day heat.  Greenhorn, the German, and I decided to  go for it.  I lost sight of him almost immediately,  and slowly continued to Cibbet's Flat, 14 miles from Lake Morena.
